Enhancement of the vibro-acoustic performance of anti-tetra-chiral auxetic sandwich panels using topologically optimized local resonators

This paper focuses on identifying parameters for optimized distributions of local internal resonators to enhance the vibro-acoustic performance anti-tetra-chiral auxetic sandwich panels. The panel and its core are simulated using a full-scale finite element approach. An equivalent homogenized model is then employed reduce computational time optimization problem. based theoretical formulations verified with model. Clusters added structure act as resonators. These parallel through-the-thickness direction provide an Absorbing Tuned Auxiliary System (ATAS) mitigate flexural vibrations over frequency range. mechanical geometrical topology design variables. frequency-dependent radiated mean sound level (RMSL) maximum peak value Radiated Sound Power Level (RSPL) two different objective functions optimization. effects loading pattern, configuration results investigated. use localized in anti-tetra chiral structures can remarkably attenuation panels, particularly case conditions.
